I should be excited for the full launch of my ‘Dreamscapes’ collection today… but I’m not.
Instead I’m sitting here with a knot in my stomach worrying about Super Typhoon Mangkhut halfway around the world, barreling toward the Philippines and then onward to Hong Kong.
The Dreamscapes paintings are an active reaction to an attempt to capture these universal feelings, these moments in time on a painting while whispering stories of hidden pasts, loves, dreams, hopes, and possibly, forgiveness.

You definitely don’t have to be in a ‘traditional’ creative field to be pumping out creative energy. We do it all the time. Are you striving to find a cure for cancer? Are you a therapist? Are you a climate change advocate? Or perhaps you’re a human resources manager trying to figure out the best way to problem solve. All of us use creative energy to problem solve in the best way possible everyday. And it can be utterly draining.

Nadiya recently moved to a new city with her fiancé. Together they set up their home to be a place where they could unwind at the end of a long day and kick back with a glass of wine and some nibbles. Nadiya’s put out flowers in a vase in the entryway and hung a gallery wall of family photos in the hall. The space is all set up, both beautiful and functional but something is missing. There are blank spaces on her wall that are just… blank. Since moving to the city, Nadiya has walked past a small art gallery close to home a several times. A few beautiful pieces, both large and small have caught her eye. She knows from styling her wedding that decor makes a huge difference to the mood of a room. But as much as she wants to go into the gallery to inquire about a piece, she's just felt too intimidated to go in.
